Terms of Service
Please read these Terms carefully. By renting appliances from Riverbend Appliance Rentals, you agree to the terms below.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the rental of appliances from Riverbend Appliance Rentals ("Riverbend," "we," "us," or "our") to you ("customer" or "you"). Your rental agreement, together with these Terms, forms the complete agreement between you and Riverbend.
1. Rental Agreement Overview
Riverbend rents washers, dryers, and related appliances to customers within our service area. Each rental is subject to a written or electronic rental agreement that specifies the appliances rented, the monthly rental rate, the minimum rental term, the delivery address, and the payment method on file.
2. Monthly Billing
Rental fees are billed monthly in advance on a recurring basis. Your first month's rent is due at the start of the rental. Subsequent payments are automatically charged on the same day of each following month using the payment method on file.
3. Recurring ACH and Card Payments
By setting up recurring payments, you authorize Riverbend (through our payment processor) to automatically debit your bank account via ACH or charge your debit or credit card each month for the amount due under your rental agreement, including any applicable taxes and fees, until the rental is terminated in accordance with these Terms. You may update your payment method at any time by contacting us.
4. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and accessible location for the appliances.
- Maintain working water, drain, gas, and electrical connections as applicable.
- Use the appliances only for their intended household purpose.
- Notify us promptly of any malfunction, leak, or damage.
- Not modify, disassemble, sell, sublease, or transfer the appliances.
5. Appliance Ownership
All rented appliances remain the sole property of Riverbend Appliance Rentals at all times. Rental payments do not create any ownership interest in the appliances. You may not sell, pledge, or otherwise transfer the appliances.
6. Maintenance Policy
Routine maintenance and repairs necessary due to normal use are included in your monthly rental at no additional cost. This does not include damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, or unauthorized modifications, which may result in a repair or replacement fee.
6a. Installation Materials
Customer understands that installation materials, if required for a safe installation, are billed separately and approved by the customer before installation begins.
7. Repair Process
If an appliance stops working during your rental, contact us as soon as possible. We will schedule a service visit or, if the issue cannot be resolved on-site, arrange for a replacement appliance.
8. Late Payments
Payments not received by the due date may be subject to a reasonable late fee as permitted by applicable law. Accounts that remain unpaid may result in suspension of service or termination of the rental and pickup of the appliances.
9. Returned ACH Payments
If an ACH payment is returned by your bank for insufficient funds or any other reason, you may be charged a returned payment fee. We may re-attempt the ACH withdrawal or request an alternate payment method.
10. Property Damage
You are responsible for damage to the appliances beyond normal wear and tear, including damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications. Repair or replacement costs may be charged to the payment method on file.
11. Pickup Procedures
When the rental ends, Riverbend will schedule a pickup appointment at a mutually convenient time. An adult must be present, and the appliances must be accessible and disconnected from utilities or ready for us to disconnect.
12. Termination
After the six-month minimum rental term, either party may terminate the rental with reasonable advance notice. Riverbend may terminate the rental immediately for non-payment, misuse of the appliances, or breach of these Terms.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Riverbend Appliance Rentals is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the appliances, including but not limited to loss of use, lost profits, water damage, or damage to clothing. Our total liability under this agreement is limited to the amount you have paid Riverbend in the twelve months preceding the claim.
